Iola, Texas

Iola is a small community in northern Grimes County. Located on Hiway 39 & Hiway 244. Our Facility is just across the street from the local School on the north side, with hi-way 39 one block to the left and hiway 244 two block to the right, at Ft.Worth Street and Brazos Ave. We are about 35 miles east of College Station / Bryan, Texas and about 50 miles west of Huntsville, Texas. Houston, Texas is about 95 miles to the southeast with many small ranches in between. 

When you leave College Station head east on Hiway 30 until you get to the cut off to hiway 244 at Carlos. Turn left there and your on your way to Iola. If you are coming in from Huntsville, travel west on hiway 30 till you get to junction of hiway 90 at Roans Prairie and turn right there for 4 miles and take hiway 39 to the left and you are on your way to Iola. If you are traveling on hiway 21 between Bryan and Madisonville, make your turn at North Zulch, Texas to hiway 39 south 10 miles to Iola.

Sam Houston State University is in Huntsville, Texas and Texas A&M University is at College Station, Texas.

Iola is a small town in Grimes County with a population of about 1000. You will find our School, a Grocery Store, Cafe, 2 Gas Stations, Wells Fargo Branch Bank, Feed Store and of coarse,  your host for the "Iola Town Crier". The friendliest people in Texas live here.
