Approximately 100 veterans and spouses attended the Veteran’s Day Dinner sponsored by the Bedias Women’s Club. The evening began with the posting of the colors and pledge to the flag by members of the Sons of the Confederacy and the Star Spangled Banner led by Joan Escamilla. Janet Green emceed the program, which included a presentation of the Missing Man Ceremony by Ed Duke. The featured speaker was Senior Chief Petty Officer Rikki Brown who is stationed at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. Chief Brown presented a flag which had been flown over the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station to each of the veterans of World War II or their spouse who was present at the dinner. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and the decorations prepared by the Women’s Club. Great job, ladies!!.
Please continue to
pray for the health of all our neighbors. Also pray for our community, our
country and especially our military and their families.
